Global Anthem “We Are the New World” Spreads Faith, Unity & Hope at the Vatican

Vatican City, 31th October, 2025: In a momentous celebration marking the 60th anniversary of Nostra Aetate the Second Vatican Council’s landmark declaration on the Church’s relationship with non-Christian religions thousands gathered at the Vatican’s Paul VI Hall for the powerful performance of “We Are the New World (Keep Doing Good)”, a global anthem of faith, unity, and sustainability.

At the heart of this historic occasion was His Eminence Cardinal George Kuvakad, leading the Interfaith Congregation and the 60th Anniversary Commemoration of Nostra Aetate. A steadfast advocate for interreligious harmony, Cardinal George Jacob Koovakad has been instrumental in advancing the Council’s vision of dialogue and fraternity, transforming it into a living mission of peace. Under his leadership, this commemoration underscored the Vatican’s ongoing dedication to fostering collaboration among all faiths building bridges of mutual respect and shared humanity.

The initiative was created, curated, styled, and presented by Dr. Sanjaanaa Jon, Global Cultural Diplomacy Ambassador, strategist, and Founder of PACT (Par Anand Charitable Trust), H2OMovement, and Give Life Foundation. Dr. Jon conceptualized “We Are the New World” as a living movement a collective call for unity, humanity, and sustainability across borders.

“We are here for unity, humanity, and sustainability. We walk together in faith and hope,” said Dr. Sanjaanaa Jon.

The concert began with the debut of “Believe (The New World)” by AJ Alexander, performed by BFly GEMZ (Girl Empowerment Movement Zone) led by Elyana Violet inspiring young changemakers to lead with compassion, courage, and purpose.

A mesmerizing Spiritual Integration Medley, curated by Stephen Devassy and performed by Vijay Yesudas and Devassy himself, followed. The medley beautifully wove together Sreenarayana Guru’s timeless verse “Jaati Bhedam Matha Dwesham” and the beloved Malayalam Christian hymn “Devasneham”, symbolizing unity across traditions.

Next, global artist and humanitarian Iulia Vântur captivated the audience with a soulful trilingual performance in Romanian, Hindi, and English, blending musical traditions and bridging continents through faith and art.

The evening’s message was deepened by reflections from global leaders:

  • Aushim Khetarpal, Sai Baba Foundation/Peace Awards: “When I can change, then you can change; when you can change, the world will change.”

  • George Angelo, CEO of Bisleri Water: “At Bisleri, we cherish water as the essence of life.”

  • Dr. Bart Fisher, Chairman of Give Life Foundation, joined by Patrick Hughes, President: “We are one human family blood brothers and blood sisters.”

As the final chorus echoed “Gotta keep doing, doing, doing good…” children from around the world, including Giselle Boyd, Jason Boyd, and Dr. Thomas Pedre of Sorbonne University, joined the performers on stage. Their collective voices filled the hall, carrying a message that transcended boundaries one of unity, humanity, and sustainability, lighting the way for future generations.

The culmination brought together an international collaboration of acclaimed music producers and artists from the United States, India, and Romania, symbolizing one voice, one light, and one Earth a resounding celebration of global harmony and hope.

Following the performance, the “We Are the New World” delegation was received and blessed by Pope Leo, who offered his warm encouragement for the movement’s mission of peace and compassion. In a moment rich with symbolism, Dr. Sanjaanaa Jon presented His Holiness with the Lamp of Light, representing the flame that dispels ignorance and illuminates the path of faith, hope, and love.

This Vatican premiere marks just the beginning. “We Are the New World” now embarks on a global tour, spotlighting female leaders and changemakers from CEOs to filmmakers who are shaping a more compassionate, inclusive, and sustainable world.
