Mumbai, 8th October 2025: In 2024, Temple Connect launched India’s first-ever Post Graduate Program in Temple Management (PGPTM) across three premier educational institutions—Welingkar Institute, Mumbai University, and Savitribai Phule University, Pune. Following its resounding success and significant impact in the field, Temple Connect and WeSchool have announced the second batch of PGPTM, with admissions for the October 2025 batch now open. This milestone underscores their commitment to professionalising temple management across Bharat.

The program offers a comprehensive curriculum covering Perspective Management, Spiritual Economy, Financial Management, Services Management, and Community Engagement, all designed to equip students with the skills required to manage sacred spaces effectively. The faculty comprises seasoned professionals and veterans with extensive experience in temple operations, ensuring students receive practical insights alongside theoretical knowledge.
With over 30 lakh temples across India, PGPTM aims to train professionals to run temple operations efficiently. Temple Connect has played a pivotal role in curating the curriculum, translating the collective vision of experts into a structured six-month course. The first three months consist of in-person classroom learning with 20+ interactive sessions, followed by three months of practical experience through internships at renowned temples.
Eligibility requires applicants to be graduates from recognized universities, preferably with a background in temple administration or hands-on experience through internships. Each institution admits 30 students per batch, ensuring focused mentoring and quality learning.
Speaking about the new milestone, Giresh Vasudev Kulkarni, Founder of Temple Connect and ITCX International Temples Convention & EXPO, said:
"When we launched this program, our goal was to advance temple management for the conservation of culture and heritage. The success of the first batch has shown us that innovation, sustainability, and technology will define the future of the temple ecosystem."
The program has received overwhelming support from temples, many of which are offering scholarships to students. Temple Connect also provides financial assistance for deserving candidates, while additional temples across the country have expressed interest in sponsoring students.
By professionalising temple operations, PGPTM strengthens a critical sector of India’s cultural and economic ecosystem. The program nurtures skilled professionals who will preserve India’s rich temple heritage while driving sustainable growth, creating a well-structured and cohesive temple economy.
